Hello, and welcome to my first blog here! My name is Jason “JC” Holmes and boy do I have a lot to say! However, today I just want to introduce myself to those who don’t know me or don’t know much about me.
My story is not a quick one to tell as there have been a lot of twists, turns and things which I never expected when I thought about who I was and who I would be when I “grew-up.” Today, I’ll just give you the short story and expound upon it in the near future. In the meantime, you can also look out for little anecdotes from me both here, and on my author page which will be back up and running again soon.
It’s funny how we think and dream about things when we’re in our youth, regarding how we envision things will be better and amazing in the future. That’s not to say there is anything wrong with doing that, but in retrospect I know that it’s also important to be in the moment and enjoy the stage of our life which we’re in presently.
Things were not always exactly easy (a relative term) when I was a kid, but boy was I in for a plethora of surprises and challenges I never anticipated. In fact, I’m lucky to be alive! Literally, and I couldn’t be more grateful! Through the grace of God and a refusal to give up, I’ve been able to overcome much adversity and become the husband, father, son, kin, friend and servant I was always meant to be. I just didn’t know it. Additionally, much to my surprise, through my own trials and tribulations (and a lot of studying, hard work and unfortunately, student loans;) I’ve been able to help, motivate and entertain countless others in many different ways.
In conclusion for today, I’m just going to leave it brief, but stay tuned for more informative, encouraging, motivational and entertaining posts from me here in the near future.
